String Theory
I noticed a thread sticking out the side of my jacket this morning.
I pulled at it, wound it round my finger, and snapped it.
It only got longer.
I did that again and again.
Finally the whole string was out, unravelled into a sizeable ball in my palm.
My jacket didn't disintegrate into threads, nor did my sleeves suddenly slough off.
Conclusion: That string was totally pointless. I was carrying it around for months now for no reason.

Slow day was it :)
As I read your little thread story it reminded me of a rerun of the old Lucille Ball show...or maybe it was Bewitched...anyway their story didn't end quite the same way...
What a relief it must be for you... to know you aren't carrying any extra baggage with you
Cheers !!
How does it end then?!
looooooool well she comes undone of course :D
Your loose thread has now got me not just wanting but needing to know which show it really was. Lucy...Bewitched and now I'm thinking it could have been I Dream of Jeannie
It was a dinner party setting...I'm leaning to Bewitched or Jeannie...because it was their magical powers that got the dog's attention in the first place...yes a dog was also involved *giggle*
...he snapped the thread and pulled which caused her to spin which caused the sweater to unravel...
Grrrr...I hate when I can't remember something but hate it more when I can't let it go
Really...I thank you alot for this thread story...now I won't be satisfied till I recall the show
Peace :)
