How's Life Aquatic?

To say this movie is 'different' would be the understatement of the year!

The plot is something a 10-year old with a typewriter could create in 15 minutes.
The characters are puddle-deep.
The music sounds like it was created on a keyboard circa 1980.
The sets and visual effects remind you of highschool plays (except for a few computer-generated creatures).

And yet, this movie is special.
And not special in the way your cardboard-eating cousin is 'special'.
There really is something refreshingly original and interesting about this feature.
Which would probably explain the stellar cast: Bill Murray, Cate Blanchett, Owen Wilson, William Dafoe, Jeff Goldblum & Anjelica Huston!

I won't recommend you see it, and I won't steer you away either.
The best that I can do is suggest you see it with an open mind.
Being under the influence of alcohol/narcotic substance would definitely add to the experience though...

Oh I've heard of this film. From the same director as "Royal Tennanbaums". I've heard mixed reviews about it. Though he's not a good story writer, I like the directors artistic view to making films. Good cinematography and colour use which is always a refreshing change from the usual half assed attempt at creating films.
