To the girl asleep on the grass
She makes the sky a blanket and the grass her bed
Eyes closed waiting for a dream
Lately all the colors have been black on red
Things are brighter with eyes shut it seems
If you want to know what's inside her head
Listen again to the things she said
But know that she sits in a cage of glass
So don't wake her, let her sleep instead
Lay beside her and make your bed
In that little garden, on the grass
Eyes closed waiting for a dream
Lately all the colors have been black on red
Things are brighter with eyes shut it seems
If you want to know what's inside her head
Listen again to the things she said
But know that she sits in a cage of glass
So don't wake her, let her sleep instead
Lay beside her and make your bed
In that little garden, on the grass
