Stay safe. Israel isn't after the Lebanese or Lebanon -- she is out to kick the shit out of Hizballah. Stay far away from Hizballah-controlled areas and assist the IDF with information. Understand that collatoral damage is inevitable as it is unfortunate. The sooner these Iran-backed terrorist scumbags are eliminated the sooner a beautiful peace with Israel can blossom.

I feel the same anger and the same frustration. They have hijacked the country and they care less. They even have the arrogance to suggest Iran will pay for the damages. It is a good thing Hariri is dead and not witnessing the destruction to the beautiful country he so struggled to rebuild. And as for "collaborating", I think we are all sick of this term! We need to make our voices heard. They need to know that the majority of the Lebanese cannot tolerate this any longer. But to Globular Cluster I say: Like hell Israel is only after Hizbollah. That certainly explains why they have targeted nothing so far except vital Lebanese infrastructure that Hizbollah and his supporters do not give a fig or two about. Nasrallah is a crazed ideologue who is willing to send us all to the devil and who deserves to be court-marshalled if you ask me, but Israel is barbaric. Their brutality is appalling and the "beautiful peace" with Israel is downright disgusting. They sicken us. They no more want a just peace and security for their people than Hizbollah and Syria do. Just leave us alone in our misery and go catch up on much needed lessons in history and basic human decency.

Your ignorance of Israel is breathtaking. It is unfortunate hizballah scumbags control your country and use you as human shields. Infrastructure can be rebuilt and there will be US dollars for Hizballah has been liquidated, which will occur shortly. I know how fashionable it is to hate the Jews but it does seem unfair given that Syria has occupied your country for 30 years and now IRan controls it, while Israel has sat quietly on the border for the last 6 and only invaded because you, once again, did nothing to stop Arafat and the PLO from taking over Lebanon. Time and again you refused to stand up and now you whine about Israel, the only real friend you have in the region. If you had to have a civil war with Hizballah, how many lives would be lost? Probably a hell of a lot more than now, when Israel does the job. YOu know damn well that Israel doesn't want your country and that it isin't going to tolerate these attacks. By far the biggest killers of Arabs have been other Arabs -- Egypt in Yemen, the Iran-Iraq war, the Ottomans, even now in Iraq IEDs go off and kill 50 shiite worshippers on a daily basis, yet you whine about the Jews. Stop whining, grow a spine, and be part of the solution.

I appreciate your sentiment, really I do. And I know you speak from the heart and from a position of reason rather than emotion. But the fact is that the situation is far more complex and subtle than you make it sound. It will be resolved soon I hope, but it will take more than blog comments to reach a consensus I'm afraid.
