Beam me up
I guess this goes under the "because we can" category!

Folks over at MindComet are currently offering the service of taking any blog feed and "transmit(ing) it out on a powerful deep space transmission dish". BlogInSpace is a free service (who'd pay?!) aimed at extending the blogosphere beyond the atmosphere, "potentially reaching intelligent alien life forms beyond our solar system"... right.
I love the use of "potentially" here because, setting aside the probability of intelligent life, there are the added odds that they have a reliable ISP and have installed Firefox/IE 5.0 or better.
At the risk of adding to space junk, I signed in for the hell of it.
One blog to beam up, Scotty.

Funny you would say that, because "Scotty" died today at 85 years of age.

Damn! I was going to post that :)
You can never know, a blogger might start to have extra-terrestrial readers who await his/her posts!
